My Hallicrafters S-38C
Here's a few pictures of the Hallicrafters S-38C that I picked up about a month ago. It just arrived in the mail. The packing wasn't very good and the old cardboard back broke off and the whole radio filled up with Styrofoam peanuts and tiny pieces of Styrofoam.
I took off the back and the bottom and I have some work to do on this one. The feet and rubber spacers are all brittle and breaking apart. I'll will replace capacitors too. Plus I have to fix the hot chassis issue. So it will be a while before I get everything I need and then get it done. But I'm in no hurry. 🤙🏻
